The Group Managing Director, Mr. Thomas Oloriegbe recently led a team of management staff to the 10,000 hectares of farmland located in Kwara State. The visit is part of the ongoing community relations in search of suitable lands to cultivate cassava and the establishment of a processing plant by Premier Plantations, a subsidiary of the Group.
In his address, the GMD disclosed the Group’s intention to have establishments in the State and called on the Government’s support in terms of infrastructural development, security and favourable policies to enable the ease of doing business.
The Executive Governor, His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq reacting to the gesture assured that the state government will provide necessary support for the Group’s business proposition.
The Nosak team was earlier received by Mr. Salisu Bkeke of the National Sugar Development Council in company of the delegation from the Kwara State Lands Bureau. The team met with, His royal Majesty, Oba Joseph Sunday Olakunle Adefila – Ayogunmoge III who was pleased to receive the entire team as he pledged his support and cooperation with the Group.
Mr. Bkeke expressed confidence that the Council will provide technical assistance for the project through a sensitization workshop which will involve major stakeholders including the CBN, Bank of Agriculture, NAIC, Investors and Farmers in due time.
